Diversity Visa Lottery: DV-2026

The application period: 

Wednesday, October 2, 2024 to Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program (DV Program) makes immigrant visas available to citizens of countries with low immigration rates. 

Visit one of Brooklyn Public Library’s Adult Learning Centers below at the listed times for:

• Free assistance with the online application process
• Free digital photos and scanning
• Free computer access

The last application will be processed 30 minutes before the end times listed for each center. Last-minute appearances will be addressed at staff discretion.

For DV-2026,natives of the following countries and areas are not eligible to apply, because more than 50,000 natives of these countries immigrated to the United States in the previous five years:

• Bangladesh

• Brazil

• Canada

• The People’s Republic of China (including mainland and Hong Kong born)

• Colombia

• Cuba

• Dominican Republic

• El Salvador

• Haiti

• Honduras

• India

• Jamaica

• Mexico

• Nigeria

• Pakistan

• Philippines

• Republic of Korea (South Korea)

• Venezuela

• Vietnam

• Natives of Macau SAR and Taiwan are eligible.
