LEARN ABOUT PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING (PB) AT THE BOROUGH PARK LIBRARY OPEN HOUSE
Come and learn about District 39's Participatory Budgeting (PB) - "the People's Budget" - process!
We’re about to begin a new cycle of PB, in which our community can propose and help develop potential neighborhood projects.
This Spring, the wider council district will have an opportunity to vote and determine the winning projects.
It’s a fully volunteer process, it’s democracy at its best, and it’s a great opportunity for you to get your voices heard by your local government.
Stop by our table to chat with PB volunteers. Ask questions, learn how it works, submit ideas and find out how to get involved with this year's PB cycle!
Can't make it to the Borough Park Library Open House on Sept 29? Join members of the district at one of two facilitated Neighborhood Assemblies: PS 230, Monday, Sept 23, 6-8 PM (1 Albemarle Rd) OR Park Slope Library, Wednesday, Sept 25, 6-8 PM, (431 6th Avenue.) Visit www.PBNYC39.com to learn more.
