Learn how to upcycle a pair of your own denim jeans or shorts with different crochet techniques!

Looking for a way to spice up your denim? Learn how to upcycle a pair of your own denim jeans or shorts in your wardrobe with different crochet techniques to create a new pair of denim bottoms to show off! Using yarn in your stash or from FABSCRAP and a crochet hook you can DIY a new pair of jeans with crochet granny squares. This workshop will be led by Anissa Jackson. 

This workshop will be held in person at the FABSCRAP Warehouse, while we may have extra materials, not all supplies will be provided please come prepared. There is no virtual component to this program.

Supply List:

  • A pair of denim jeans or shorts you own (FABSCRAP will provide denim scraps)
  • Yarn (feel free to bring your own, FABSCRAP will provide a limited amount)
  • Crochet hook
  • Sewing needle and thread
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needles

Registration is conducted through Eventbrite.

Annisa Jackson is a rising senior at LIM College and a part-time fiber artist. She spends her free time creating garments to build her wardrobe and express her form of creativity through fiber and believes that it is important to have a wardrobe that reflects her personality and style. Her hobbies (knitting and crochet) highlight sustainability and creativity with different fibers and techniques.
