Alexx Duvall leads this workshop on creating cyanotypes, a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used this process well into the 20th century as a simple and cost-effective way to make copies of drawings, known as blueprints. Since then, the process has been widely adopted for more artistic & photographic purposes.  In this workshop, we'll be creating cyanotype photograms: images made by arranging objects on light-sensitive paper. Fresh or pressed plants are a typical subject, but any solid object can create an image. A sheet of glass will press flat objects into close contact with the paper, resulting in a sharp image. Three-dimensional objects or objects that are not perfectly flat will create a more blurred image.

This workshop welcomes adults and young people ages 12 and up.

Space is limited at this program and registration will be required.  Kids 12 and up may register on their own, or they can attend in addition to a registration created by their parents/caregivers.
