The Mill Basin Library is partnering with DSNY for this informational tabling event:
Learn helpful tips and best practices from a DSNY representative for using your building's brown bin for curbside composting service, which began in Brooklyn on Oct 2nd. We will also be giving away free Kitchen Containers and paper lawn & leaf bags. Kitchen Containers are small bins to keep the food scraps in your kitchen separate from your trash and other recyclables. These containers allow you to easily store your food waste before putting it into your brown bin. Composting keeps our homes and neighborhoods cleaner. We’re glad to make this valuable resource available to our community.
