Join us to create creative masks and collage while learning the basics of Art & Design.
Collage:
Oct.16 Week 1- Understanding the basics of Art & Design.
Oct.23 Week 2- Learning the art and design of collage.
Oct.30 Week 3- Creating the layout, mixed media and found objects adding dimensions to the collage.
Nov.6 Week 4- Adding finishing touches to the collage.
Mask:
Nov.13 Week 5-Introduction to the mask past and present.
Nov.27 Week 6-Layout and forming the design for the 3D mask.
Dec. 4 Week 7-Painting and adding creative elements to the 3D Mask.
Dec. 11 Week 8- Finishing the mask securing the form.
Dec.18 Week 9-Culminating Event Showcase your Artistry.
Art Supply list:
Pencil, Eraser, Pencil sharpener
3 Acrylic paint brushes (1) fine pointed (1) med round (1) med large square.
Acrylic primary paint: red, green, yellow, blue, black, white.
Aleene’s tacky glue; Elmers’s craft bond extra strength glue stick (blue)
Scissors; Plaid: craft Mod Podge Med gloss or gloss; (2) 11X14 canvases;
Mixed media pad 9”x12”; 8 clips or clothes pins; Carbon or transfer paper
Water jar (for washing brushes), water mister, paper plates, ice tray, Paper towels.
