Comfort Craft: Handmade Hugs
arts and crafts
COVID remembrance day
kids create
In this special Comfort Craft Activity for #CovidRemembranceDay, we will be making handmade hugs to comfort ourselves and/or a loved one who is separated from us.
Here are the materials you'll need:
- A piece of fabric long enough to wrap around you (i.e. old pillowcase, sheet, t-shirt) Please ask permission before cutting up clothing/bedding!
- Markers or paint (fabric or permanent markers work best)
- Buttons, ribbon, sequins (optional)
Once you have your materials, follow along on Bedford's Facebook Page for a step-by-step video.
Program adapted from the Children and Youth Grief Network Handbook
