As part of Democracy Lab at the Spacebuster, join us each day at 10am with a collective reading of the New York Times led by a different community leader or artist. Tuesday's Coffee and the New York Times will be led by Rashidah Ismaili AbuBakr.

Rashidah Ismaili AbuBakr is a writer of fiction and non-fiction, playwright, poet, and workshop organizer and leader. She is on faculty in the low-residence Creative Writing MA/MFA graduate programme at Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, PA. She is an activist in the interfaith community and various social justice issue. Her apartment is home to Salon d'Afrique, an international meeting place of artists and writers.
