Civic Engagement Commission Idea Generation Workshop
Civic Engagement
Cool Work x Interesting People
Join us at Brooklyn Public Library's Jamaica Bay branch for an Idea Generation Workshop!
Collaborate with your neighbors to brainstorm ideas for how to allocate part of the city budget, addressing community needs and interests. Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees will have the chance to receive giveaways.
Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
About Participatory Budgeting and the NYC Civic Engagement Commission (CEC):
The CEC is excited to launch the third year of "The People’s Money" 2024/25 participatory budgeting process! All New Yorkers aged 11 and up, regardless of immigration or incarceration status, can participate in deciding how to spend part of the city’s budget. Last year, the CEC facilitated the second citywide process, enabling thousands of residents to propose and vote on initiatives benefiting their communities.
Join us to make your voice heard and help shape the future of our city!
