Join us for our screening of Kiki (2016), the second installment in our Cinema From the Margins series. This documentary provides a snapshot of the lives of the queer and trans youth of color who compete in NYC’s underground ballroom scene. Here they unite to create safe spaces of identity and artistic expression.

Cinema From the Margins is a curated film viewing series that seeks to highlight stories from often overlooked communities and people of diverse identities, with an emphasis on subjects that are relevant to our current time. Films in this series will start with a brief introduction prior to the movie and will be followed by the option to casually discuss afterwards.
