Building Back Better at Brooklyn Navy Yard
Follow clues about history, art, and food at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on a scavenger hunt for the chance to win prizes! Throughout the afternoon, families will see pizza and bagels being made and discover details in paintings, sculptures, and photographs by Yard-based artists in Atmosphere for Invention, an exhibition at Building 77. They'll also have the chance to meet featured artist Jackie Meier for a mystery challenge and participate in storytime and drawing workshops with children's book and comics illustrator Ruth Chan. Participants will also receive a reading guide that includes books that are illustrated or written by authors and illustrators who work at the Brooklyn Navy Yard!
This space is open to the public. Pre-registration is not required to attend, but registered attendees will receive priority for activity supplies.
Location: Building 77 , 141 Flushing Avenue (at Vanderbilt Avenue)
