Build Bee Hotels
“A bee hotel is a man-made structure designed to provide safe nesting spaces for solitary bees and other creatures, which don’t live in hives like honey bees. These gentle, non-aggressive pollinators lay their eggs in small holes or tubes, which is exactly what a bee hotel we will be creating will offer; hollow bamboo stems, drilled wood, or paper tubes that mimic natural nesting sites like hollow plant stems or wood crevices. Bee hotels help support local pollinator populations, especially as natural habitats are lost due to development or pesticides. They’re not only functional but also give people of all ages a chance to support biodiversity right in their backyard or garden.”
- Kids must be accompanied by an adult at all times
