Join author-illustrator Melanie Hope Greenberg for an enchanting sea-themed adventure! Transform into a mermaid, Neptune, pirate, or any sea creature you can imagine.  See how the images in her book relate to the research library's special collections, archives, and historical treasures as you explore fascinating photographs from past Coney Island Mermaid Parades.

Create and take home your own mermaid crown, Neptune crown, or pirate hat inspired by her book "Mermaids on Parade."

Melanie will also delight attendees with a special storytime reading. Copies of "Mermaids on Parade" will be available for purchase at the event, and Melanie will personally sign all purchased books.
