Brighton Beach Presents Creative Aging: Spatial Drawing
Join teaching artist Katya Kahn as she introduces students to various drawing techniques!
Over the course of eight 90-min workshops students will be introduced to concepts of spatial representation through a variety of drawing techniques. They will study works from the pre-Renaissance era to conventional linear perspective and experimental approaches.
Each workshop will include a theoretical portion and hands-on exercise to test out new art ideas and techniques. Through these experiments students will look for ways of expressing their unique spatial experiences, observed, memorized and imagined. For the final project, students will create renderings of physical spaces from literature prompts.
Please call (718) 946-2917 or visit Brighton Beach Library for more information.
