BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN TEENS AND OLDER ADULTS...
JOIN THE TOWN HALL DEBATE - VIRTUAL ON ZOOM!
- No teams - the audience members/attendees are the participants
- No judges, winners, or losers - just a moderator to keep the pace (and keep the peace)
- Come prepared to speak for or against the proposition
TEENS NEED TO BE HEARD, AND THEIR IDEAS NEED TO BE RESPECTED.
OLDER ADULTS NEED TO BE HEARD, AND THEIR IDEAS NEED TO BE CONSIDERED.
The spirit of Town Hall Debate is mutual enlightenment. It's about speaking one’s own mind, as well as listening and attempting to learn something about what makes other people “tick.” (And, perhaps, a newfound appreciation for the views on the other side of the issue.)
We want to hear your comments and the questions you will raise based on your personal views.
We want to hear your reasons in support of your position, and we expect you to respect those with a differing opinion. Ours is a safe space for sharing and learning.
The resolution, or topic of discussion, for this Town Hall Debate is:
We need to place limits on the First Amendment.
