Bridging the Gap: Intergenerational Debate at BPL
FOR TEENS AND OLDER ADULTS WHO ARE READY TO BE HEARD!
Join us at Park Slope Library for Bridging the Gap: intergenerational Debate at BPL, a 10-week series for youth (ages 14-19) and elders (ages 55+).
Over the course of 10 sessions, participants will work in intergenerational pairs learning and practicing the art of debate. From what an argument is to crafting and developing a persuasive and impactful argument, Bridging the Gap will teach youth and older adults to develop and hone their research and public speaking skills.
Bridging the Gap will provide a safe space for both generations to share their talents and learn from one another. It’s where the fresh, creative energy of the youth will connect with the useful, tested experience of older adults!
The program is as follows:
· June 20: Orientation and Instruction Session 1
· June 27: Instruction Session 2
· July 11: Instruction Session 3
