Mr. Mike Reads The Great New York Subway Map by Emiliano Ponzi, an imaginative account of the creation of a subway map in the 1970's published in association with the New York Transit Museum and the Museum of Modern Art.   This book gives a history of the New York City subway system and attempts to represent it and introduces children to the artistic style known as minimalism.
