Many architectural wonders of the world play central roles in a society’s culture, religion and storytelling traditions.
BUILD A PAGODA – these multi-tiered structures found in east Asia were often used as Buddhist temples. Compare the pagodas of China with those of Japan as you build a 3D model of a beautiful pagoda.
Materials to have on hand:
a few small recycled boxes (2-4)
a few cardboard squares, cut from a mailing carton, to place in between the boxes. The footprint should be a bit larger than the boxes.
construction paper
cardboard scraps
scissors, tape & glue
use whatever you have at home to decorate your pagoda: stickers, pompoms, toothpicks, straws, popsicle sticks, wrapping paper, tissue paper, etc
