Book Discussion: Metamorphoses by Ovid
"What we have been, or now are, we shall not be tomorrow."
-Ovid, Metamorphoses
Please join us for an informal discussion of Metamorphoses, the great narrative poem by the Roman poet Ovid, considered to be his magnum opus. Comprising over 250 myths, the poem chronicles the history of the world from its creation to the death and deification of Julius Caesar, which had occurred only a year before Ovid's birth. Much transformation to consider!
Ebooks are available through Brooklyn Public Library as well and several free online versions are also available.
Please note that you may register for this event up until one hour before it starts. You will receive the Zoom link via email before the event.
