Take a book adventure as Ms Lea reads "Why the Sky is Far Away" retold by Mary-Joan Gerson.  After hearing the story children will create African collar necklaces.

Supplies- paper plate(s), scissors, markers or crayons or coloring pencils

Optional Supplies- materials to decorate craft (stickers, construction paper pom-poms, etc.), string/yarn, colorful straws to cut, beads, dried pasta, glue
