Take a book adventure as Ms. Sarah reads “Hey, Water!” by Antoinette Portis! After reading children will go on an Ice Excavation adventure!
This will take place on the Carroll Gardens Library Facebook Page.
Supplies
- Clear cup
- Food coloring (Optional)
- Ice cube tray
- Fruit or plastic toy figures, small
- Salt
- Spoon or craft sticks
- String
- Cold Water
Freeze your materials at least a day before hand so you can participate along with Ms. Sarah OR follow along Live and recreate the experiment at home later!
IF you want to participate alongside Ms. Sarah start Step 1 NOW:
Step 1: Gather materials from around the house that can get wet. Things like small pieces of fruit from your refrigerator, LEGO pieces, and other small objects are great options! With an adult’s help, place the items inside an ice cube tray, fill with water and place in the freezer to create frozen artifacts.
