[BLEEP]: A Play About Cen$*r$h!p
Are gay penguins in a children’s book “appropriate” for a kindergarten classroom? What, and who, gets to be a part of the history of the United States? Through a series of interactive theatrical vignettes and embodied discussions, [BLEEP]: A Play About Censorsh** investigates how censorship shows up in the American education system while taking a look at the effect it has on our personal lives and the world at large. Where is censorship happening? Why is it happening? Who gets to draw the line and why? Where would you draw the line? [BLEEP] takes a hard look at the topic of censorship in a captivating, exciting, and often silly way, allowing participants to grapple with these tough questions through the joy of theatre.
Doors open at 5:30 pm and the show begins at 6 pm. Snacks and drinks will be served after the performance. Registration is not required but is recommended.
