Adult Librarian Donald Peebles will present the documentary HORROR NOIRE: A HISTORY OF BLACK HORROR (2019, 83 minutes) in honor of Black History Month. HORROR NOIRE takes a critical look at a century of genre films that by turns utilized, caricatured, exploited, sidelined and embraced both Black filmmakers and Black audiences. It features interviews with Black directors, filmmakers, actors, and authors.
