Beyond the AI Hype
Join us for a special literary event with AI authors and scholars to celebrate Women’s History Month at Brooklyn Public Library.
The headlines are filled with news about Artificial Intelligence (AI), making it difficult to separate hype from reality. AI presents many opportunities as well as challenges for our communities. It can help us solve complex problems, but it can also displace jobs and harm our civil rights if left unchecked. Many learning resources sit behind paywalls and are filled with jargon that can be difficult to understand. There is an urgent need to bridge this AI information gap by making it accessible, understandable, and useful.
Public libraries play a vital role in bringing AI knowledge directly to our communities so we can keep ourselves safe and get access to new opportunities. On March 18, join us at the Brooklyn Public Library to celebrate Women’s History Month with a special AI literary event hosted by Women in AI Ethics™ where leading AI authors and scholars will demystify algorithms, debunk popular myths about AI, and share how we can ensure these powerful technologies benefit all of us and not just a select few.
**This is an in-person event, which will not be livestreamed but a recording will be posted on the Women in AI Ethics' YouTube channel 1 week after the event.**
