Fixing Boats in the Dry Dock

Many ships still come to the Brooklyn Navy Yard to be repaired in the shipyard. We will take a look at one of the amazing dry docks and learn how they work to get huge ships out of the water. We will then show you how to make your own model of a dry dock to make your own toy boats "high and dry"!

Explore the science, industry, and the history of Brooklyn with our friends at Turnstile Tours at the Brooklyn Navy yard. Each morning we’ll join a live visit to learn about the industrial backbone of Brooklyn, from ship yards to factories!

This program will be hosted on Zoom, you will need a Zoom account to attend. Please note, this event will be recorded, if you turn your camera on your face may be recorded on screen.

A link to this event will be shared with registered participants one hour before the program begins. Please register for each event to participate!
