Fall 2021 admissions are open for Bard at BPL. Please join us for a virtual Open House event to hear Bard at BPL Professor Sharifa Rhodes-Pitts give a talk. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about the program at a Q&A with Bard at BPL staff. Online writing sessions will be held after each open house, so you can apply right then if you’d like. Please sign up here.

Bard at BPL is a tuition-free liberal arts college in the heart of Brooklyn. Students enroll full-time in an ambitious academic program that culminates in associate degrees from Bard College.

Bard at BPL enrolls Brooklynites of all ages who have been previously deterred or excluded from higher education. With the cost of tuition and books fully covered, students pursue degrees while taking advantage of academic advising, tutoring, continuing education seminars, and non-academic student services. Students benefit from Brooklyn Public Library’s collection of four million materials, state-of-the-art technology, Business and Career Center, art exhibitions and cultural events, and countless other programs.
