Autistic Adults NYC – PAUSE Event: Create a Fun Sensory Kit! (Brooklyn Heights)
Join members of Autistic Adults NYC in making your own sensory kit.
A sensory kit is a collection of items that can help with anxiety and sensory overload, or can create a fun sensory experience! It can include things like fidget toys, bubbles, stress balls, ear plugs, and more.
For this event, we will be decorating our boxes and picking out our favorite items to put in the box. No need to bring anything but yourself -- all materials will be provided! Feel free to come by, experiment, meet some new people, and have fun.
This event is intended for non-speaking, intellectually disabled, and/or high-support-needs Autistic adults, although it is open to all. You are welcome to bring a family member, friend, mentor, or aide to this event. If you are RSVPing on behalf of an Autistic adult, or if you are bringing another person, just be sure to include a plus 1 with your RSVP.
RSVP on the Meetup page, call (718) 253-4948 x39165, or email InclusiveServicesEvents@bklynlibrary.org.
