Author Talk: Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah on Chain-Gang All-Stars, in conversation with Ari Gibbs
Join Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah as he reads from and discusses his new novel, Chain-Gang All-Stars, with Ari Gibbs of Well Read Sistas Inc. Books will be available for purchase from Café Con Libros.
In Chain-Gang All-Stars, two top women gladiators fight for their freedom within a depraved private prison system not so far-removed from America's own. The novel is a kaleidoscopic, excoriating look at the American prison system’s unholy alliance of systemic racism, unchecked capitalism, and mass incarceration, and a clear-eyed reckoning with what freedom in this country really means.
