The Art of Searching & Reading Research Articles - Session 1

Join us for this class on searching & reading academic research articles! This two-session program is open to all students of any age. We will use the Brooklyn Public Library's public databases, which are all free to use with an active library membership account.

In this, our first session, we will cover the research skills required to efficiently find articles in the library's databases. These skills include using the appropriate academic database for your topic, and using search refinement techniques to make your search process an easy, methodical process.

We will then build on those skills in the 2nd session, on August 19, where we will learn how to analyze these academic articles!

We will be using Zoom to host this program. You will need either a computer with a microphone and a webcam or a phone for this event.  We will be sending the login information to participants via email.
