AI for Communities: Keeping Yourself Safe in the AI Age
Powerful technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) present many opportunities as well as challenges for our communities. AI can help us solve complex problems, but it can also displace jobs and cause serious harm. Many AI learning resources and information sit behind paywalls and are filled with jargon that can be difficult to understand. To support our mission to deliver free and open access to information for education, Brooklyn Public Library is collaborating with Women in AI Ethics (WAIE) to deliver free introductory classes on AI to help our communities get a solid understanding of AI, prepare for new opportunities in the AI economy, and keep ourselves safe. These free sessions will be delivered online and provide additional resources so you can continue your learning journey at your own pace.
