Hot Bread Kitchen will be tabling in Central Library's Central Lobby to meet with you and discuss their food career training programs!

If you’re ready to take important steps toward a fulfilling career in NYC’s vibrant food industry, Hot Bread Kitchen is here for you. They provide career training, job placement support, and food entrepreneurship programs, with access to support services to put you on a path toward financial security for you and your family. Their programs and staff are flexible and reliable, and their approach is customized to you and your unique ambitions. Programs are at no cost to you.

CULINARY TRAINING
 
Get the technical and professional skills you need for jobs in the food industry. HBK prioritizes job placement with good employers, fair wages, and opportunities for advancement.
 
PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY: 
 
First Course NYC is open to all gender identities (women, men, genderqueer, and non-binary) over the age of 18. 
 
Culinary Career Pathways For New New Yorkers (Caminos Culinarios Para Nuevos Neoyorquinos) is specially tailored to the needs of newly arrived, Spanish-speaking New Yorkers with Temporary Protected Status or migrants who are authorized to work. Instruction will be provided in English and Spanish by bilingual instructors and support staff. 
 
Signature Culinary Fundamentals programs are for women, non-binary and genderqueer individuals over the age of 18. 
 

BPL's Business & Career Center programs are generously supported by Carnegie Corporation of New York, Citizens, Data Axle Reference Solutions, Dime Community Bank, Dr. Beverly S. Jacobs, Goldman Sachs Gives through a grant recommended by Goldman Sachs, Google.org, the Marguerite Casey Foundation, and Ridgewood Savings Bank.
