Fix it Flatbush is a special program at the Flatbush Library aimed at creating community connections and sustainable practices through crafting and mending. In this workshop, Danielle Urban will walk us through the basics of using a sewing machine to mend/darn your clothes. We’ll review sewing machine essentials then dive in with tips on machine mending your worn-out clothes.

Supplies provided. Register for updates and reminders about this program. Seating first come, first served with limited capacity. Registration does not guarantee a seat.

Danielle Urban is a textile artist primarily focused on mending and upcycling. She runs Front Porch Threads, a project focused on re-using textile waste in creative ways, and helping our community make their own closets more circular though teaching mending on Substack and at in-person gatherings across New York City.

BKLYN Incubator is supported by generous funding provided by The Charles H. Revson Foundation.
