Fix it Flatbush: Creative Patches with Ellie d’Eustachio

Fix it Flatbush is a special program at the Flatbush Library aimed at creating community connections and sustainable practices through crafting and mending. In this workshop, we’ll make block-printed fabric patches with local fiber artist Ellie Eustachio. These patches are a beautiful way to update and repair much-loved clothing.
Supplies provided. Register for updates and reminders about this program. Seating first come, first served with limited capacity. Registration does not guarantee a seat.

Ellie d’Eustachio is a Brooklyn-based textile street artist and teacher. Her solo and community yarnbombs have been published in the AP and Gothamist and are seen by thousands on scaffolding across NYC. She has been commissioned to produce large-scale installations for live events in Prospect Park, in Times Square, and at Lincoln Center, and her art has been on exhibit both here and abroad. She is the recipient of an Awesome Foundation NYC grant, and is a founder of the Brooklyn Yarnbomb Club.
Whether leading others in creating public art or crafting complex knit pieces that uplift, Ellie believes art is vital to our wellbeing. Many of her projects are driven by working collaboratively with others and creating meaningful, emotional visuals accessible to children.
BKLYN Incubator is supported by generous funding provided by The Charles H. Revson Foundation.
