LGBTQIA+ Pride Month

We've got Pride at the Library!

Pride doesn’t stop when June ends. Brooklyn Public Library offers expanded access to queer books, brand new booklists, and some great events all year round.

Books Unbanned

In recent years, public and school libraries across the United States have experienced an unprecedented wave of book challenges and bans, many focused on censoring queer stories. In April 2022, Brooklyn Public Library launched Books Unbanned, granting teens and young adults in the U.S., ages 13-21, free access to its entire digital collection of over half a million eBooks and audiobooks. Find out more about Books Unbanned.
