University Open Air: History and Evolution of the City in the West: How the COVID pandemic will change New York City.
Participants will learn how the City was born and its evolution from the past to the present. Students will learn about the social revolution, the industrial revolution, and how globalization has shaped cities over time. Finally, we will discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic will change New York City.
Marcelo Arroyave is a researcher and counselor with over four years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research, advising, outreach, and 3+ years of experience in post-secondary and K-12 education. He works with economically disadvantaged youth, low-income communities, and immigrants in vulnerable situations through Community Outreach. He has a Bachelors's degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Urban Anthropology from Rovira and Virgili University in Catalonia.
