University Open Air: Tie-dyeing in Nature, with Nature!
In this tie-dye workshop, we will use natural dyes extracted from plants. Please bring your own white cotton T-shirts that you've pre-washed thoroughly, as well as work clothes that can get dirty!
Alon Andorn is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses drawing, collage, sculpture & video installation. He holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts and a Bachelor's in Visual Communication, both from the Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design, Israel. Prior to immigrating to the U.S. Andorn has taught art & design in various higher education establishments for over a decade, and in the past years has also worked with kids and teens, teaching Hebrew as well as art.
*In case of rain, classes will be canceled. Registered patrons will be notified by email on the morning of each course day and are also encouraged to check the UOA webpage and BPL Presents’ Facebook and Twitter pages for updates.
Classes will take place outside along the lawn surrounding the Boathouse in Prospect Park.
