Prospect Park Boathouse

BPL Outdoors BPL Presents science and math social sciences University Open Air

We'll discuss in depth the importance of branding yourself and marketing yourself as a brand. After detailing what a systemic approach is and how it should be used to develop a strong identity for a brand, students will participate in a self-branding exercise.  Class includes 30 minutes of lecture and 30 minutes of exercise and questions.

Prachi Sheth is an Indian communication designer based in New York specializing in visual identity, packaging, creative coding, typography, and UI/UX. Experiential visual identity and strategy give her joy. With strong focus on branding, print, and typography, her aesthetic approach often merges minimalism with a distinct sense of gravitas. Strategically, her work is rooted in research, iteration, and open dialogue. She delights in integrating storytelling throughout her work by pioneering imaginative solutions for complex problems and moving ideas from good to great.

When not in front of her speed MAChine, she can be found drinking copious amounts of coffee, watching F1 races, or searching out the best vegetarian sushi in the city.

*In cases of rain, classes will be either moved to the Prospect Park Boathouse or canceled. Registered patrons will be notified by email on the morning of each course day and are also encouraged to check the UOA webpage and BPL Presents’ Facebook and Twitter pages for updates.
