University Open Air: Drawing from Nature
In this class we will draw inspiration from our natural surroundings. We will learn how to look at nature, search for interesting textures, and create compositions incorporating different elements from the park around us. Open to all ages and levels of experience!
Alon Andorn is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses drawing, collage, sculpture & video installation. He holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts and a Bachelor's in Visual Communication, both from the Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design, Israel. Prior to immigrating to the U.S. Andorn has taught art & design in various higher education establishments for over a decade, and in the past years has also worked with kids and teens, teaching Hebrew as well as art.
*In case of rain, classes will be canceled. Registered patrons will be notified by email on the morning of each course day and are also encouraged to check the UOA webpage and BPL Presents’ Facebook and Twitter pages for updates.
Classes will take place outside along the lawn surrounding the Boathouse in Prospect Park.
