Tenants' Rights Workshop: How to Research Your Landlord
Come to learn about how to research your landlord, including how to access your landlord’s portfolio, eviction history, and complaint history. We will cover how to understand your rent history to see whether your apartment is rent stabilized, along with your rights under the Rent Stabilization Law and the Good Cause
Eviction Law.
Instructions on how to request your rent history are included in the RSVP form. The workshop will be led by an attorney from the Brooklyn Eviction Defense Tenant Union and organizers from the Bay Ridge Justice Collective.
This is part of an ongoing series of workshops aimed at empowering tenants.
The event is free and open to all.
