Lanaya Wade, PsyD, is a Licensed Psychologist in New York. She is currently a Candidate at New York University’s Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis. Her training includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship and Internship at the William Alanson White Institute and education at the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center.
Dr. Wade spends the majority of her professional time in private practice, where she works with adults focused on depth therapy and with adults and children completing psychological assessment. She also enjoys her role as an educator in her position on the core faculty for a Masters of Counseling.
Christina Megill completed her 4 year psychoanalytic training at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in New York City. I have completed further training in sex therapy and couples therapy. She is currently a Fellow at the Foundation for Community Psychoanalysis where she collaborate with other psychoanalysts to create more access to psychoanalysis within communities of Brooklyn. She is also a research therapist for international psychedelic clinical trials working towards FDA approval for psilocybin and LSD for therapeutic use in people with treatment resistant depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues.
Prior to her training in psychoanalysis she worked in HIV and Community Medicine. This work spanned more than 20 years with Housing Works, The Floating Hospital, Harlem United and Weill Cornell Medical College’s HIV Clinical Trials Unit focusing in HIV medicine, education, and research. She continues her work at Weill Cornell on a limited basis.
Jared Ijams is a Brooklyn-based writer. He holds an MA in Philosophy with a concentration in Psychoanalytic Studies from The New School for Social Research. His work on psychoanalysis, philosophy, and politics has appeared in Negation Magazine and Cosmonaut Magazine, among others. He also operates Ohr Judaica, a handmade Jewish goods business.
Jamie Kahn is an MSW candidate at Fordham University. She has written about psychoanalysis, philosophy, and culture in Glamour, Evergreen Review, Epiphany, Brooklyn Magazine, and others.
Benjamin Matz LCSW, is a licensed therapist who works in Manhattan doing individual, couples and group therapy. Benjamin works through a psychodynamics approach and often centers the therapeutic relationship and relational dynamics at the center of his work. In addition, Benjamin is passionate about existential therapy and the search for meaning and often tries to weave it into his work as a therapist.
Jamie Cunningham - Foundation for Community Psychoanalysis, Managing Director
Jamie began her nonprofit career over a decade ago, working in volunteer management for the AIDS Walk in New York and Los Angeles. Since then, she has developed and implemented programming for various social impact organizations, including her most recent roles at the Good+ Foundation, which aims to break the cycle of poverty by providing essential items to families in need, and iMentor, which supports high school students through college and career via mentorship.
Jamie holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and an M.A. in Educational Leadership, Advocacy, & Politics from NYU. Jamie lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband, their son, and the family dog.
