Senior Debate for Older Adults Spring 2023 Series

Senior Debate this Spring 2023 season will be a 9-week series...Three weeks of instruction, three weeks of practice debates, and a three-week debate tournament!

This Spring the series is HYBRID where participants will be able to debate in person and via Zoom! So, if you’re home bound or out-of-town, it doesn’t matter…you can fully participate in the Spring 2023 Senior Debate Series!

We're going to get right into the Senior Debate structure and components - instructing the new debaters and refreshing the returning debaters - via Zoom, then have the practice debates and the tournament in-person at Central Library the Dweck Auditorium, with remote debaters with us on Zoom! 

We're meeting on Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and we're looking forward to seeing you! All registrants will receive a copy of our manual, On the Other Hand, written by the founder of the Association for Senior Debate. This book is a quick read that will get you ready for the Zoom meetings.

(If you register for the programs on 4/25, 5/2, and 5/9 only, you are registering as an observer, not a participant, as teams will have already been created.)

Please Note: For the three weeks of virtual training, the Zoom link will be emailed to you at 10:00 AM on the day of the meeting.
