Scales of Reality
Olivier Gingras
Languages & Literature, First floor

A window into quantum physics and the mathematics of scale, revealing patterns that connect microscopic particles, the human experience and the concept of self.

Olivier Gingras is an Associate Research Scientist at the CCQ. His research centers on numerical simulations of strongly correlated systems, with a particular focus on realistic quantum materials and multi-orbital unconventional superconductors. To predict observable phenomena in increasingly complex systems, he develops and applies cutting-edge algorithms. He joined the Simons Foundation in 2021 as a Flatiron Research Fellow, after completing his Ph.D. from the Université de Montréal and the Université de Sherbrooke.
