fiber arts
Join us as celebrate the summer solstice and explore indigo dying from its history, creating the vat, dying techniques and the science of this plant based permanent dye. We will create shibori resisted patterns, which are the origin of our modern tie-dye techniques.
Our dyes are very permanent, so dress accordingly. Bring your own apron if possible. All supplies included.
Adults only. No registration - 12 spots available, come early, space is limited.
This series is made possible through the generous support of the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund.
