Meaningful Stuff: Writing Flash Fiction Comics with Sentimental Objects

In this hands-on workshop, participants will write and draw a one-page comic about or inspired by an object. The workshop will be guided by comics artist JB Brager. Participants may bring their own art supplies and sentimental objects, or can use materials provided. No art or writing experience is required.

Materials (pens, pencils, paper, etc.) will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own. 

JB Brager has been self-publishing zines since 2004. Their comics and work on comics appears in The Nib, the Jewish Comix Anthology, The Black Warrior Review, Shareable Magazine, The LA Review of Books, GUTS Magazine and Apiary Magazine. They hold a PhD in Women’s & Gender Studies from Rutgers University New Brunswick. They are a Sagittarius sun, Aquarius rising, Aries moon, and identify as a late bloomer.
