kids celebrate heritage dance fitness and classes Lunar New Year

Welcome the Year of the Horse by learning about the ceremonial lion dance which is

  • a fun feature in Chinese new year celebrations
  • commonly involved with rituals and festivals
  • traditionally known to help ward off evil spirits and bring good luck

Dancer Carmen Liang and drummer Bowen Liang will demonstrate the Southern style of lion dance.  The audience could learn some poses and movements from this talented pair of siblings.
