Screening: Emergent City
Join us for a special screening of Emergent City, the acclaimed documentary that takes a deep look at the neighborhood’s recent battles over land, development, and democracy.
Filmed over more than a decade, Emergent City follows Sunset Park residents, developers, and local leaders as they grapple with the transformation of Industry City and what that might mean for the neighborhood. The result is a vivid portrait of power, politics, and community action at a turning point for Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and New York City.
After the screening, we’ll host a conversation with filmmakers and special guests who will share behind-the-scenes insights and take questions from the audience.
