We safely connect patrons with age-appropriate matches from library systems across the country.
In a world dominated by instant texts and emails, this program revives the beautiful, lost art of letter writing.
Sending a handwritten note allows you to slow down, practice mindfulness, and share a deeper connection with a distant peer.
To protect your privacy, all mail is sent and received directly through the participating libraries. No personal addresses or phone numbers are ever shared.
Stationery, note cards, stickers, and postage stamps are available at our information desk to help you get started.
How to join:
Sign Up: Visit the McKinley Park branch to register.
Get Matched: We will notify you as soon as you have a match.
Start Writing: We have stationery & stamps available at the information desk, if needed. We will notify you every time a new letter arrives from your new friend!
