Book Adventure: Family Tree
Introduce children to the idea of a family tree as we read together the picture book, My Family Tree and Me, which was written and illustrated by Dusan Petricic. Afterwards we will create a family tree drawing and place paper hearts on the tree to honor and remember family members in honor of Covid Remembrance Day on Sunday, March 14. New York City has designated this as an official day of remembrance for the New Yorkers and others who were lost to COVID-19.
