Family Day Celebrating Tove Jansson and The Moomins

You are invited to help kick off a special exhibition “The Door is Always Open,” dedicated to Tove Jansson, the beloved Finnish artist, writer and creator of the Moomins. 

Program:

Enjoy Moomin-themed songs, rhymes and stories in the Youth Wing's First Five Years area to celebrate the new exhibition!

1 pm & 2 pm   Musical Performance with Strawbitty Yops 

This vibrant, family-friendly event features Austin-based duo Strawbitty Yops, and a cast of talented children’s musicians. This special concert will share songs of love and joy.

The exhibition and this program are presented by Brooklyn Public Library in partnership with Moomin Characters, Moomin Arabia, the creator of the world-famous Moomin mugs that have become cherished collectables, Finnair, one of the world's oldest airlines, and the City of Tampere, home of the world's only Moomin Museum.
