Each season brings its own set of complexities, rewards and changes in both our bodies and the earth. On the heels of the Autumnal Equinox September 22, in Fall Seasonal Medicine with Jess Turner we will dive into the energetics of fall, exploring herbal remedies to address the challenges that arise in this season of change. You’ll come away with a jar of homemade fire cider, a spicy folk immunity remedy, and tips for tapping into the medicine of connection vis-à-vis the seasons.

Registration Required. This is an outdoor event. Masks are required in Greenpoint Library.

Part one of a four-part seasonal herbalism class. Stay tuned for Winter, Spring and Summer editions in December 2021, March 2022 and June 2022.

Jess Turner (she/her) is a clinical herbalist, grower and educator whose practice is centered on helping frontline communities—low-income, working-class BIPOC communities who experience the first and worst impacts of climate change—repair through connection to the land and plants growing around them. In cities, these plants are often discarded as mere weeds. Her apothecary is Olamina Botanicals.
